Cross-engaging

Crossposting makes sense. But cross engagement? If you’re only posting for reach, why be on a social platform in the first place? Therefore I was never a big fan of crossposting, but I get people who take advantage of it.

I now believe that cross-posting is a good thing. Photos, as one example, are frequently cross-posted to both Instagram and Facebook. Tweets can be sent to Twitter as well as our own blogs. Years from now you end up with an archive of all your short-form writing at your own domain by default. souce: Cross-posting
